... being released November 10. I've never had a Signature before, but I've been hearing good things. The board's release price is $44.95.
I've always been a Bin 389 fan. Anyone out there had this? Is it worth the money?

Yeah..I've actually been waiting for this one.
What should my strategy be if I want 4 bottles and need to work the morning of the release.
Do I need to go to my local vintages and reserve these bottles?

Yalumba 2002 The Signature SANov06 has a recommended retail price of approximately A$40 and is a blend of 56% Cabernet and 44% Shiraz. ... Rated as Excellent with *** for value (based on the RRP, although it would definitely get **** when you find it on special at A$30.) Drink over the next 10 years plus.
I had some '01s and I also returned them. They seemed to be going nowhere fast.quote:Originally posted by bman:
I loved the 99, and liked the first bottle of 2001 I tried, but the last two have been disappointing. I don't know if this wine would go through something like a dumb phase but I almost returned my other two bottles.

Stevey,
There is still a fair bit around but as the vintage is about to change, getting it on special will be difficult. ]This guy still has some at $A40 and is a very reputable retailer; I buy a lot of my wine from him.

Thanks TORB. If this is currently the case with the 2001, any idea when it might emerge?

Torb,
Have you had the 1996 Yalumba The Reserve lately or have any thoughts on where that might be in its drinking window? I have two of both The Reserve and The Signature. I have the first of The Signatures on tap for next year, so I was glad to hear your good report on it.
