The honest answer is that depending upon vintage and producer, some young Bordeaux shuts down and isn't just tannic, but also just isn't particularly good for several years until it re-emerges.  2018 RS isn't a sure bet either way, but G-man likes it and people on Cellartracker seem really to dig it, as well.  So you probably will get a great experience drinking it.  BUT, it won't be nearly the same experience as it would be in 15+ years.

A shop I buy from (absolutely no affiliation, just a happy customer) European Wine Resource seems to have good prices on the 2005 and 2010 RS (not cheap, just good pricing) and you may want to think about those, or use wine-searcher.com to seek out older good vintages of RS or other Bordeaux you are interested in to get a sense of what it is like with a little age.  Bordeaux isn't where my primary interests in wine lie, but I had a 2003 Cos d'Estournel a few weeks ago that was just dynamite.
