Winos & Old Bags

I am looking for a convenient way to carry 1 to 3 bottles of wine and/or a couple of Riedels. I think that I have seen most of the usual suspects, but nothing in particular strikes my fancy. It's all schwag so to speak. The neoprene carriers are great for BYOB at restaurants...rather unobtrusive, fold up, etc. But what about the next level? I would think a black, Cordova, messenger style bag...similar to my Tumi laptop carrier. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks.

How about a picnic rucksack? I've got a superb one that has a large, insulated space which you can put an ice pack in. It has a separate insulated bottle compartment. Then there is the service compartment with elastic holder for glasses as well as the corkscrew, cutlery and plates. You can remove the plates and cutlery.

The whole thing is extremely compact and you get to use it for picnics too. Theseare the sort of thing.
G-Dead,

futronic turned me on to a wonderful wine bag which would be perfect for an offline type occasion. Designed to hold 6 bottles, which works great for a couple bottles and a some large stems as well. I've misplaced the information, but ordered a couple of these and they are just what the doctor ordered. Around $10-15 a piece too!! Cool Perhaps he can post the link to the supplier?

PH,

This is the link I sent you before: Talon Development.

The bag that I have is the 6-bottle Natural Wine Bag that is second from the stop. It's made of a material called "jute," is very sturdy and looks nice too. In addition to bringing stems and bottles to offlines with it, I'll head off to the wine store with it as well so I don't have to use the plastic bags.
I love the canvas 4 bottle bags they are now selling at the Ontario LCBO stores for $5CAD. They are too soft to hold stems though.

For stems, I bought a 2 pack of Riedel Vinums that come in a sturdy box that is small enough to manage at offlines or restaurants.
