So i'd be a party of 5, and I'm looking at some of these tastings and they're all 50$/person.
As 3 other members of my party are not really winos, I was wondering what would you guys recommend i hit up?

When I go with the wife, I've got a l ist of tastings I make appointments for but I feel li ke that's the winos experience.

Heitz does free winery tours but they're only available during the week and by appointment only.

I think the tour at Mondavi is good for non-winos as it covers the overall basics from wine-growing to wine-making and the there are some interesting stories along the way to keep them entertained. It's on a level that anyone can understand.
For touristy places, Sterling is always fun with the tram ride and self paced tour. There is also Castello di Amorosa, just 'cause it's a freakin castle

Sterling may be just as pricey if you factor the tram costs and any tasting fee.
Gman - I wouldn't necessarily shy away from the appointment route. It's not at all unusual during summer tourist season to have a mix of wino and non-wino at an appointment. I get those type of requests all the time. I think if you just let the appointment know in advance there are a few wine 'likers' with you you'll be fine.
Take them up to Pride. It's a free tour that goes through the caves and the vineyards and often has barrel samples. Even non-winos will enjoy the experience and the views that are up there.

Go a little north to Boonville, kick around the shops downtown, practice your Boontling (wacky local language), and go to Anderson Valley Brewing Company for a tasting and a round of disk golf on AVBC's tough on-site course.
