Wine Tours from Mediterranean Cruises

We're taking the Seabourne cruise of the Adriatic and Aegean this July. There are a couple of wine tasting available from the cruise. Are they worthwhile?

Are there any independent tours from the ports that you'd recommend? There are a couple of days when none of the cruise tours are attractive.

On other cruises--mostly on Germanic rivers--we've had about 70/30 luck with wine tours associated with the cruise lines.

If you are taking a cruise through Italy and Greece, I would get off at the port and buy local wines to bring turn back on board.
