Appreciate it. It's more like $350 for the 95 Ducru. The price SHOULD be $250. So, I basically paid half for my 96 Ducru at auction (although the 95 is a little better in my opinion). Having said that I did buy some 95's and 85's along with some Grand Puy Lacoste (82 and 95). The prices are ridiculous but the wife and I had a great time at Chateau Ducru last summer when we were in France and so having possibly the best wine they have ever made seemed worth it.
By the way, the 95 Grand Puy Lacoste at $175 (Parker gives it 95 pts and raves about it) seems like the least overpriced Bordeaux i've seen in awhile, but I was a little dissapointed by it. You just can't win.
Thats why I'd like to get the Canadians trading. I'm sure we all have some wines that while good we maybe bought too much of and are a little bit tired of, or maybe our tastes have changed from 5 yrs ago etc...We should be posting what wine we'd like to trade and for what types of wine we'd like to receive in return. Then the negotiation can begin.
