Big Grin Just did. Hilarious!

I walked in on release morning and picked mine up. I don't chase these things, but I admit that now that I have it it's pretty damn cool.
I watched the video describing this app's features and, to be perfectly frank, not sure why I'd download it even though it's free. I already have a general idea about vintages of the regions I care about and I can't recall anytime in the past saying to myself at a restaurant or wine store, darn, if I only knew the vintage score of this wine!

What I would be very interested in are tasting notes and ratings of particular wines, but this app doesn't do that. A good vintage doesn't mean the wine is good as well. Am I missing something here?

Now, I don't have an iPhone, but why even bother with this app? As was stated above, just use the browser on your phone (any phone!) and hit the WS website. Vintage charts display just fine on my Blackberry. If you're looking for notes on a specific wine, just search it. There's already a mobile version of the tasting notes search page. If you're a subscriber, then the newly released app is completely useless. Then again, 99% of apps are useless for mobile devices - regardless of who makes them.

I didn't know that. The mobile version rocks. Big Grin

Did I mention how much I love my new iPhone? Razz
