Was playing a wine quiz game tonight with some my wife, brother and his wife and this question came up. Just wondering what everyone else would think.

Well, its cool to see these current results as I guessed the same as the majority here, which was savignon blanc. According to the game as well as www.nzwine.com, the most widely planted grape is chardonnay.

Winetarelli, can you post the links to the sites? The game was made in 2002, so maybe it is a tad outdated and back in '02, sav blanc wasn't quite as popular?
