Seems like most restaurants/wine bars tap out at 100 by the glass. I know Flemming's Steak house advertises 100 by the glass. Does anyone know of a larger selection in California?
Thanks,

If they have more than a few wines by the glass, I assume they use a nitrogen blanket system like Cruvinetquote:Originally posted by Dave Tong:
Bacar in San Francisco has a pretty good selection - typically around the 65 mark. They also pour by the glass, by the 2-ounce pour, in 250ml and 500ml decanters, and in "flights".
Plus they often have wines that you wouldn't expect to see by the glass, such as Rafanelli or Dalla Valle.
Never seen 100+ by the glass though. I'd wonder how they manage to keep them fresh.quote:Originally posted by MarkB:

I don't think so. I doubt they have much more than that by the *bottle*.

Nice dredging up a dead thread. FWIW Florida is not in California.

Easy to confuse. One is America’s schlong and the other is it’s stink-star.
What do you expect from someone's first post?
mdevan, which city? We're snowbirds and have taken to driving through Alabama to avoid Atlanta (and I65 in Indiana, OMG). So, we drive through twice a year from Chicago to Naples.
