I started buying the bottles because they look pretty in the cellar. No intention to ever drink, but they do make for interesting conversation.

The wine is pretty good. Released on June 1st (her birthday) It's Napa Valley juice and highly allocated. We sell every drop that we get.
We also sell the younger version called Norma Jeanne. That is released in the fall ......and yes, we sell the total allocation.

And BTW , it's the VERTICAL that sells for $ 7K.

FOR the serious Cali Collector:
Marilyn Merlot Velvet Series is the limited edition collectors bottle..It only comes in
1.5 LT Bottles and usually retails around $200 upon release. They also produce a "basic" merlot that sells around $25..It is actually pretty good
wine..but not to be confused with the super quality Velvet series Merlot.

What is the most limited bottle of the Marilyn lineup ever released?

I believe its the 93 Marilyn Cabernet.

You can sell those on Ebay for twice as much.
