Cucumber tonight for me and my wife just grilled some meat and veggies. Life is not fair , right? These days I am trying to lose some weight (vacation is around the corner now) and stay strong during the family meals. I found this list https://betterme.world/articles/zero-calorie-foods/ and choose for myself different things for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Lamb shank with couscous
Bacon cheeseburger and a Greek salad.
Tonight going to dinner to celebrate a friend's 80th birthday. Just him and me and our wives. Going to: https://theprimeribs.com/
Classic Baltimore special occasion restaurant. The 2009 Petrus is only $9900. I think we'll go for something a bit more modest.

YOLO, Irwin.
Well, the Petrus was up to $10,200. So, we passed. I got Steak Au Poivre, which I knew would be on the peppery side, and though they have lots of nice cabs, we went with a Robert Biale Zinfandel Black Chicken 2021. I've had it before and it is very thorny and brambly and stood up to the steak well.
Chicken salad because I have gastritis and should maintain healthy diet. I'm on some meds from Canada Drugs. Hope to recover soon.
Grilled some beef cross-pieces (flanken) last night. Yum.
grilled up some juicy lucys and a rib eye (with salad)
Grilled chicken with baked potatoes and salad.
By the way, where do you usually find the recipes? I used to look through the blogs on YouTube (and I still do this now and then), but I also discovered the taste of home reviews on this website and decided to give this magazine a try. It turned out to be the leading multi-platform producer of information on food, cooking, baking and entertaining. I often find good recipes there.
Did you go back in time in the DeLorean, or the Tardis?
A smorgasbord of Indian foods.
