Did you shoot the boar? If so, what size?

My uncle did,I helped him dress it out, we didn't weigh it but I took two nice size straps. I seasoned it then coated in bacon grease, wrapped tight in plastic to marinate for 2 days then grilled, it came out very nice.

Thanks. I have not had good luck using boar as a fillet. I was thinking perhaps you shot a small younger hog.

I had at PurpleHaze's recommendation a wild boar pasta in D.C. this month. All of the boar they buy is from Texas.

Now I'm in the mood for some wild boar and Barbaresco. Big Grin

Oh, I understand the corn issue. It is getting harder and harder to keep them out of the deer feeder pins. The fence worked for a few years. The deer simply jumped the fence. Now just the sound of the feeder going off excites the damn hogs to the point they tear through the fence. Mad

I will reach out to you next time and try your methods.
Lots of good breakfast eats over the holiday weekend. On Christmas eve we went up to LA to pick up my 08 Latour futures at K&L in Hollywood so we decided to hit up Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles which is right around the corner from K&L. Crispy juicy fried chicken on one plate and fluffy buttery waffles on another. So good! Christmas morning was fresh baked banana muffins with espresso while opening presents with mrs. glennk and yesterday was a yummy spinach omelet at the club before our round.

This morning was back to yogurt and fruit before work.

Napa, do you like Cholula? I like Tabasco if that's what is available, but prefer Cholula. I'm also a fan of spice in my egg dishes.

Different animals, IMO. Tabasco is one of a kind.
