Add some Kahlua and you've got the best hangover cure known to man! That sounds properly good.

I did Ace Bakeries granola (anyone in Ontario that likes Granola should try it, really good and no hidden gremlins that often hide in granola) mixed with cappuccino yogurt.
I had a Breakfast Burrito w/ eggs, Chorizo, diced new potato, pepper & onion and Cheddar Cheese w/ a squirt of Sriracha Sauce. I will make a batch of them to freeze to freeze. In the morning I will throw one in the Microwave for three minutes, then then brown them on the George Foreman grill/Pannini Press for a minute or two for a little bit more crunch and flavor.
Today at Le Bon Vivant in Montreal, I had an excellent brunch dish of huevos rancheros, with a little French touch-- the cheese was brie. Very tasty, and nicely served with grilled tortillas, avocado, and black beans on the side.

But what really made this stand out for me is that's the first time in my life that I got a nice buzz with breakfast. I had a Belgian-style IPA from Beau's Brewing, which turned out be 6.9% ABV and came in a 600 ml bottle. I know I could have left some of it, but on a hot day after a long walk to the restaurant, it was pretty hard to resist.

I'm not sure whether or not it's a good thing to get a buzz like that early in the day. I think I'm going to have to investigate this a few more times before I'd be willing to adopt it as a regular lifestyle. Smile

You cannot drink all day unless you start early.

That is a very astute observation, A.

I am always grateful to have intelligent friends who can provide objective logic to help me solve my little dilemmas. Big Grin
Had brunch this morning at the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in NYC. Brunch is buffet, and probably the shittiest food I've had in years, a lot of items congealed and sad-looking, others just sad-tasting. I put some stuff on my plate (it was too dark to see what I was getting) but couldn't eat it.

On the other hand, the energetic Harlem Gospel Choir did a 75-minute set, and that pretty much made up for the food. We went out afterwards for some better sustenance, still smiling about what we had heard (they did a 15-minute rendition of Oh Happy Day that had everyone clapping, standing, dipping, etc).

Would gladly pay the full tariff just to hear that Choir again, but would skip the food entirely.

And being able to revive a 7-month dead thread? Priceless! Smile
