Chaad's an optimist but might be a little out of sorts from New Year's. He's not dumb. Surely he'd let you take the first sip!
I don't know. Let's do some critical thinking here. The 1987 vintage in Bordeaux was perhaps the worst vintage of the decade. The Chateau Beychevelle (first wine, not the second like this) was scored 79 points and described as weedy and vegetal with a drink now recommendation in 1990.

This could have been stored in suspended animation and would still suck.......

Perhaps a blind tasting between the 1980 and 1987 vintage of this wine would be in order. Smile

ugh. I dont think I'd ever want to touch another bordeaux from 1980 ever again.
