Also, a nice delicious find has been Pikeville Rye which is wonderful!
Two of my go-to favorites and your right about the Rock Hill Farms. I have one. Little left that I found in a liquor store in Queens.

I think it's gone.
Dalmore 15. Tasted this at a scotch tasting at the club during our Member/Member and liked it enough to buy a bottle.

Based on what the Wagner kid got for that abortion juice he was making, the Casamigos folks should feel like they gave it away.

That's good, I'm sure Clooney could use the money now with those new twins.

Bunnahabhain 12 and 18. I don't think the 18 is worth money. Glenmorangie 18 Extremely Rare is far better for about the same cost.
Col Taylor Single Barrel. Love this stuff.
Lagavulin 16, with a small ice cube.

bill, have you ever had the Distiller's Reserve? Lagavulin makes a 15 called Distiller's Reserve and I like it a little better than the 16. Unfortuately, I've only seen the Distiller's Reserve once.
That damn TPE turned me on to Japanese single malt somehow and he has ruined me!
Had the Yamasaki 18 last night. While I'm no expert at all, it was a wow drink for me.

I have not.
This is as peaty/smoky as I need. I'll save this one for when I'm having my annual cigar.

More than I care to count, Bombay sapphire and tonics post golf today
Treaty Oak Distillery Waterloo Antique Gin - aged 5 years in a Syrah barrel and unlike any other gin I've ever had. Really nice over just a couple rocks.
21 yr El Dorado, very smooth

I don't drink much hard liquor, other than the occasional Cognac and even rarer occasional Scotch, but my wife has had a craving for margaritas of late, so I've made up a batch each of the last few evenings. Man, with lots of ice it is a pretty nice beverage to enjoy on a warm, sunny summer evening.
I'm using Patron Barrel Select Reposado, which I received as a gift a couple of years ago and which is probably a waste with all the crushed ice and fresh lime I add, but I have to say that it makes the second glass taste better than the first.

As I've said before, Mrs. Seaquam has good taste. Nothing like a good, made-from-scratch margarita on a warm day. And I'm sure the Patron just upped the ante.

Tried Akori Gin last night. Very similar to Tanqueray and Bombay Sapphire with maybe a bit less juniper.

Great minds...I've been drinking the High West Campfire the last few nights
Foursquare Rum Zinfandel Cask Blend.... wow, that's good. Looking forward to trying the 2004 Cask Strength next.
1993 Mortlach distillation, purchased in The Whisky Castle in Tomintoul. Excellent
I had some Redbreast 12 Cask Strength (B1/16 57.2%) last night for the first time in awhile. I always think it's not going to be as good as I remember... and I am always wrong.
I've signed up to do a barrel draw in a few weeks from one of three cask strength bourbons from Woodinville Whiskey Co. They have rye, too.
For locals, there were still a couple of slots left, last time I looked.

I REALLY liked this. Barrell is a respected TN based blender of sourced whiskeys, much like High West. This one is a blend of TN bourbon and IN whiskey finished in rum and rye casks. Many purists are against finishing bourbon in other casks, which has become almost the norm with single malts, but I liked the result a lot, and don't expect for it to last very long on the shelf.

How is the Campfire? It's definitely a little pricey
Bowen Gold'n Black XO Cognac, nice.
When it comes to Barrel bourbon, try to find batch 6 and 11. The current release is batch 12 which is also very good. Thanks for the notes on batch 4.

Going to wait out Irma for the next two days at a hotel in Alabama. I do have Jack Daniels Gold with me. Sold only at the distillery and a few stores in Tennessee. Will try not make any late night posts
