Thoughts? I enjoy the Carters much more than most Napa Cabs- more refined, more balanced. But I like the winemaker Mike Smith's work with his own label- Myriad- even more.

Thoughts...posted under wrong title. Red Face Big Grin

As you may know, the overall style shift in Napa Cabernet left my palate 10+- years ago. This said, I have tasted a few wines recently offering a more balanced profile, and these two would fall under that category I'm thinking.

Both were showing that wonderful Napa fruit, but also offering more than just fruit, and not too flabby or hot.

I have not tried Myriad wines that I can recall.

Will have to share a bottle of Myriad with you... If more Napa cab was made like it, I think your palette would fall in love with Napa all over again. Smile Glad you enjoyed the Carters!

How would you rank this against other Anejos? Thanks in advance.

bill - I'm not gig, but I've always regarded DJ Anejo as one of the finest and well worth the coin. If you can pick it up on a discount, I'd BUY.

A few years back I spent ALOT of time working in Mexico and this was the Tequila the locals gave the nod of approval if given a choice.

Gig, this is on sale locally with a pretty good percent discount. How would you rank this against other Anejos? Thanks in advance.

Bill, I agree with the others. This is what I have been pouring of late. Is it on sale at Binny's? I'm due for another bottle.

I agree completely with KSC02; an excellent añejo indeed.

Thanks all for the replies. thelostverse, I'm pretty sure I saw it a few days ago at Binny's for $39.99, marked down $10 from the regular price. The web site doesn't show the sale price. I'll check again and pick up a bottle if that's the case.

I did get my fair share. Cool

Remy is not my favourite brand, ... I understand

but this Louis XIII must be a fantastic experience.

It was indeed, and fun to see all the jockeying for the bottle to take home. Smile

Luxury Baccarat cristal caraffe. Did you get the bottle? I'd refill with some el-cheapo v.s. and laugh at the many oh's and ah's given to that special cognac Wink

Here's one bottle i'd like to have in my collection:

Please send to me if you find one Smile
