I don't get this dish at all. Had it a couple of times and don't really care for syrup with fried chicken.
First time? Enjoyed it?

Enjoyed a wonderful 3 hour lunch with Primordialsoup and his beautiful bride here today in Santa Fe. We had a great table near the fountain in the courtyard on a day that was 65 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.
The pork and pineapple dish was fresh and enjoyable.
Wines enjoyed were, 2001 Camigliano Gualto Riserva BdM. We both could smell the wine as the server was pouring our first taste. We also greatly enjoyed a 2009 Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva.
Every week should include a lunch like today!![]()

Board-O, it was enjoyable for sure but I would hold if possible. I think it will improve. Both wines were ordered off of a wine list.
The '05 is singing I think currently.

I trust you would agree, at first bite, my home-brined (proprietary spice blend, mind you) , smoked and steamed pastrami is far better than any you have had, undeniably!
