Chicken and Waffles

I don't get this dish at all. Had it a couple of times and don't really care for syrup with fried chicken.

First time? Enjoyed it?

I enjoyed it although I didn't like the small layer of Gruyere cheese between the fried chicken and the waffle. For some reason I was in the mood for it. I typically don't order it and definitely don't make it at home.
Enjoyed a wonderful 3 hour lunch with Primordialsoup and his beautiful bride here today in Santa Fe. We had a great table near the fountain in the courtyard on a day that was 65 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

The pork and pineapple dish was fresh and enjoyable.

Wines enjoyed were, 2001 Camigliano Gualto Riserva BdM. We both could smell the wine as the server was pouring our first taste. We also greatly enjoyed a 2009 Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva.

Every week should include a lunch like today! Cool

Board-O, it was enjoyable for sure but I would hold if possible. I think it will improve. Both wines were ordered off of a wine list.

The '05 is singing I think currently.

I've had the 2005 and it is outstanding. I have 4 left, along with one of the 2006 (not as good as the 2005), and six of the 2009 which I haven't tried yet. I will hold them. Thanks
Not an ideal lunch, but I was offered a piece of regular pecan pie and chocolate pecan pie to try because I need to select one for our next wine club event, wines to pair with Thanksgiving dinner. I was going to get pumpkin pie, but a lot of people (myself included) don't like it, and everybody loves pecan pie. So the baker gave us two pieces for my wife and me. We preferred the chocolate pecan pie, and there was no need for lunch after that.

Barney's in Everett. Best pastrami I've had outside of NYC or LA. BTW, I make my own, and his still beats mine, hands down.

I trust you would agree, at first bite, my home-brined (proprietary spice blend, mind you Roll Eyes ) , smoked and steamed pastrami is far better than any you have had, undeniably!

Disagree. mneeley490's a wizard with the ways of smoked meats, you silly Troll.
