A lovely two hour lunch with my wife and daughter at Le Bernardin today, where I had seafood and white truffle pasta (I think this was the best dish of 9 different dishes that we ordered today); poached halibut with clams, wild mushroom casserole, and mushroom jus; and for dessert an intricate roasted pineapple pavlova, with the lightest topping over the pineapple that turned into air in my mouth, served on guava jam with yuzu-coconut broth served around it.

A bottle of NV Billecart-Salmon Rosé, followed by an hour or two in the nearby MoMA, a little walk back to our hotel on a sunny day, and it's pretty close to perfection in my life.

Happy birthday, Jc!

We liked Blue Heaven so much when we visited KW, we went there twice in five days. Great food in a peaceful setting.

Other than the wait, it is a great spot. We call ahead and they put us on the list to shorten the wait. Always feels like vacation.
