Having only enjoyed truffle but two times, is it possible to have too much truffle in a meal? What I mean is, doesn't the strong flavor start to take over the other elements of the meal? Or, is that just crazy talk?

Not to partake in the white truffle season would be criminal.

What a beautiful lunch!

I pierced my tongue before it became a fashionable thing. Fell out of a tree from about 16 feet, and bit a hole right through my tongue. Amazingly, I didn't break anything.... I used to be Gumby back then... Now I'm more like Humpty Dumpty. Wink
Looking forward to seeing you later.

I TRULY don't think it is possible to have too much truffle... There is something so intoxicating about its aromas...when you are in a restaurant where everyone is enjoying truffles, the smell is absolutely captivating... There are very few things that rival it- the more truffle, the better!

I guess I'll just have to eat your share of dinner tonight Wink

Thank god for the multiple tubes of ambesol and oraljel lying around from the no-longer teething little guy.
Based on the advice of a good friend, my wife and I had a terrific lunch at our favorite Italian, Da Marco.

Burrata and roasted tomatoes on a bed of arugula
Boston lettuce salad with pomegranate
We both had fresh made tagliolini with white truffle
Some very chocolatey dessert

Paired with a very lovely and fresh 2007 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco

While a bit pricey, very worthwhile!

Big Grin

Just a couple led pellets.

Love those sandwiches at Cali, problem is they put me to sleep at lunch and can't sleep at night if I eat one for dinner. Is that a sign of age?
