Left overs I couldn't pass up! Venison tenderloins, corn, sauteed mushrooms and a salad.
Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and celery drenched in Newman's Own Caesar dressing. Paired with water.
Fish and chips, halibut. From Newman's in Eugene Oregon. Low 70's, overcast, perfect weather for Olympic Trials here starting next week. I imagine the local vineyards and tasting rooms will be slammed with all the visiting winos.
BLTs with tomatoes from the garden.
Right now I'm having I'm having a beer and A brat before I head to the pool for a bit.
I made some brownies last night. As of 3pm today all I had eaten was brownies. I am worse than a child.
jenny Craig pizza

I had shrimp and artichoke pasta at work for lunch today.
Had a great steak burger w/fries on deck at local country club. Only thing that would have been better is a nice chilled Rose' or a couple of pounders of local IPA. Had three serious bible thumpers at lunch so that was out of the picture

My husband and I tried a new place today in Fort Worth's Montgomery Plaza, BoomerJack's Grill & Bar. I had a honey BBQ grilled chicken sandwich with a strawberry limeade. It was quite tasty. We enjoyed our lunch and will return.
Today I had a california burger at work with lettuce, tomato, pepperjack cheese, avacado, applewood cured bacon and spicy mayo. I kind of made it up myself and was quite tasty.
pizza made at home. Whole wheat crust. Cheese, zucchini, anchovies, more cheese, tomatoes, capers, more cheese.
Washed down with Seghesio Zin, 2006.
Yum.

For lunch on Saturday I introduced Mrs. Glennk to the wonderful world of Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. Crispy fried chicken with a side of buttery waffles. Sounds crazy, but it is so good.
Nothing. I am insanely busy and it sucks.
Banana-chocolate Vivano from Starbucks: and an apple!!
A salad.
A piping hot mug of white onion and garlic soup with some crusty bread and a couple pints of Abbot Ale.
Then back to work.quote:Originally posted by GlennK:

I actually work from home most days, so I walk to lunch just to get out of the house. Today was kind of cold so soup and beer it was. I’m usually more efficient before lunchquote:Originally posted by DoubleD:Then back to work.quote:Originally posted by GlennK:

Yeah, I'm running a bit late, so I'll have to call ahead and get my three martinis to go.

Saturday – At Duke’s in South Ken - Pork belly with an apricot glaze and mixed greens. Fullers London Pride.
Sunday – Needed a break from shopping so we stopped into Scalini in Knightsbridge. I had the pennette with tomato, sausage & pesto. Simple chianti. Third time I have been to Scalini in the last couple of weeks. Can’t recommend it high enough.

Cesar salad with grilled chicken and plenty of anchovies. Fullers London Pride. Just started reading The Watchmen so that will be my lunch time entertainment for the next week.
Thai food, and it ain't sitting right.
Great lunch today at a local place called Two Chefs...Bacon wrapped filet covered with carmelized onions...two toast points and a side of scrambled eggs with smoked white cheddar cheese. Outstanding!
I need to stop eating at Panda Express.

Today I had a grilled ahi tuna sandwhich with brie cheese, grape tomato and wasabi mayo on grilled bread with fresh fruit. I was trying to be healthy.

Chicken Tika from Al-Meshwar Greek & Mediterranean Food. What do you want form me? I am from El Cajon.
KSC02,
El Cajon (and Fallbrook) is where they move all the rednecks in San Diego County.
Yesterday, Greek salad (made it myself), a banana and some yogurt.

Spo inspired me. I had Chicken Tika and rice for lunch. But mine was from an Indian place.

That should shed some light on my tea situation. I must say Chaldeans do Greek food much better than Italian food.

Won-Ton Nachos and Buffalo wings at Oggi's. I also had a delicious Stout. Now I have one of those drinking beer when I was super hungry headaches. I think when the body cries out for nourishment the first answer should not be beer.
Sandwich of grilled chorizo, roasted red pepper, crisp rocket and olive oil on grilled bread. So good! From the borough market.
After reading Glenn's post, I'm too ashamed to post what I ate for lunch.
"Ashamed?"
Why? Was it an article of edible clothing?

They really need a more gourmet style of such, imo.
I agree, w+a.
On the plus side, though, I imagine almost any sweet wine would make a fine accompaniment for this type of garment . I have to question their nutritional value, however. They all seem to be made of sugar.
A nice ham and swiss would certainly be a welcome addition.

OK. OK. 3 boiled kosher hotdogs, no bread, no nothing else but diet soda.
