tanglenet introduced a terrific place in SF during my last visit - Spice Kit, located on Howard and 1st.
Delicious Bahn mi among other Asian delights. Started by a guy who worked under Keller at Per Se and French Laundry. Loved it!

Miracle Whip? I think it's a miracle that anybody buys it a second time.

Reminds me of my distant youth. There were two distinct camps. Mayo and Miracle Whip. Very rare that someone crossed over that line.

Lunch today: Smoked Ham and Bean Soup with a nice hunk of bread.

While I have clue what I will order for lunch, or what wines will be enjoyed, except one.

Our firm had a major win this week, and a bottle of 1990 DRC La Tache will be opened.

Oh please, PLEASE, PLEASE let the bottle show well this day.

We ended up enjoying sauteed portobello mushrooms on toast tips with our Champagne, and smoked duck soft tacos with our La Tache.

A lunch we will all cherish you years to come. Cool
We reserved a table on the patio of our favorite local Tex-Mex restaurant. I'm in the mood for carne asada with a number of margarita's with an extra lime on the side. Cool
Tossed some campanelle with homemade pesto and chicken. Paired with the 2009 M. Chapoutier Côtes du Roussillon Domaine de Bila-Haut blanc.
Carne Asada burrito with lettuce, tomato, beans, cilantro and onion. I was still full at the gym 5 hours later.
