DnVsMom and I do our annual NFL Opening Sunday lunch while watching the 49'er game. Pizza rolls, bagel bites, taquitos, and wings. It all started 20 years ago as starving college students (well, I had actually graduated, but you get the idea). Smile

Nice start to the season for the 9ers... And you are making me hungry! Craving bagel bites and wings right now.
After an early morning round, my wife and I had a couple of beers and shared some chili cheese fries at club while watching a little football. So glad the NFL is back!

Went to a new restaurant with a colleague near my office. He had pho, while I had a hot and sour soup with catfish, okra, tomato, pineapple, lemongrass, red pepper, jalapeño, cilantro and Thai basil. We shared a garlic, mushroom and onion filet mignon with black pepper served on a bed of greens. The soup I had was simply out of this world... Just delicious. And the filet was very good too... And all for $12. Could come back here every day.

When we finally get together, if in the City, I am begging you to take me to this place! Smile

Very nice start for the Niners!

As for the bagel bites, certainly not as "good" as I remember (having them once each year). It seems as if the bagel portion of the bite has changed. Not that I am a bagel bite connoiseur or anything. Wink

As for wings? I can eat them multiple times a week. And I certainly have some favorite places to get them!

You'll have to cross the Pacific my friend... This place is in Taipei. However, I would be happy to have you over to our place in Sausalito where I can give it my best shot. Wink

Glad to see you're drinking something from a REAL wine region for a change!

These are starting to pop up in menus around here. The one I had at Goose Island brewpub was excellent. Some friends are planning to make these for us next time we get together. Great mix of flavors.
Chorizo de bellota, manchego cheese, bread, garlic olive oil and fresh tomato spread (pan con tomate); Not sure what to pair with yet. Maybe Juan Gil Jumilla Monastrell 08.
A BAT sandwich.

Bacon, arugula, and tomatoes from the garden on wheat. The only problem is that I don't have a toaster at school. Still, mighty good.
Taco Tuesday so I just crushed 5 al pastor tacos for lunch. I wish the couch is my office was longer so I could take a nap.
