Love the place! We're there at least twice each trip to Florida. The broiled grouper and the blackened grouper are two of the very best fish dishes I've ever had. I've been trying to talk Rothko into going there.

I don't know if you've ever been to Fritters in Lantana, but unfortunately it closed. It was another of our regular places, with excellent fresh Maine lobsters. It was owned by a retired fireman from Connecticut and his wife. Nice people.

Have you tried their beef dishes (steaks, burgers)?
We were at a family graduation lunch at 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown, in DC.
I had a frisee salad with beets, as did my wife. I had salmon, she had halibut.
I had a glass of some Sancerre, followed by an Albarino. My wife had two glasses of the same Cabernet. Wasn't paying attention to the details.
They had Domaine Carneros 2006 Sparkler for $11 a glass. We buy it for $16 per bottle.
Enjoyed lunch on the Upper East Side today thanks to g-man. The Square Meal was small, no kids or soccer moms, and the food was excellent.

I had the duck, and D had an all veggie something. I brought a bottle of 2006 Smith Haut Lafitte.

A perfect lunch after the MoMa, and before that little place that Wright designed.

Thanks again, g!
Lunch with s supplier at an "Italian Tapas" restaurant. Grilled sausage and peppers, polenta with portabellas, sauteed shrimp, and goat cheese in tomato sauce over garlic toast.

Couldn't drink as I was working, but noticed that their wine list had Roederer Brut Premier for $50/bottle. I'm pretty certain it was bottle and not 1/2 bottle pricing. Gratto in downtown Geneva, IL.

It was that darn good, and the finest I have enjoyed, ever. Thanks to g-man for telling me to go there! ( Jane on West Houston)

I just ate, and that post made me hungry.
