You got to go off the Island to get one.

Dim sum. Need a nap now.
Had a great lunch today at Jaleo in Washington.
One of the best dishes was a seared salmon perched atop some pureed cauliflower and finished with raspberries. "Salmon Frambueso" they called it.
Fantastic dish.

A huge slab of roast beef of prime rib with macaronata (pasta with mizithrha cheese), boiled carrots. Terrific.
Yesterday in SF:
Split a Bacon cheeseburger from Hubert Keller's Burger Bar. Pint of Stone Brew Arrogant Bastard Ale. Trio of milk shake samples for dessert.

Strip Steak and Crab Cake with salad.
Discovered a new restaurant not too far from the office. Had a gruyere and spinach omelet with sweet potato fries. They had lots of nice things on the menu, and we checked out the dinner menu which looked good as well.
Here's the plus.......no wine sold here and so you can bring your own, with a corkage fee of five dollars per table. Sweet.

Lunch today (beautiful in Dallas) was a large cold seafood platter, enjoyed with a white Burgundy.
Yesterday I made eggs with serrano, topped with a fresh tomato sauce.

Don't forget the lukewarm stale coffee that you paired it with.

Actually, just finished. I love meatloaf sandwiches. And it was paired with a NV water, thankyouverymuch.....

Do you mean, "adobada?"

That's what they call them in Abu Dhabi.

A pastrami dog and a bacon chili cheese dog from Pinks.

I have requested an early lunch today featuring croque monsieur, and will open my last bottle of 2009 Chateau Bandol Domaines Ott Rose Romassan.
Does that still come in that really funky bottle?quote:Originally posted by wine+art:

Indeed. They do make a less expensive wine that uses a more standard bottle.
I haven't seen one in some time.

They hit our market between May and July, and sellout often before ever hitting the shelf.
One wine shop in Addison sells over 100 cases of the Rose wines imported from Robert Kacher each year the very week they arrive.
