How was Beck? The Lumineers on leg 1 were ok (Chi2 & Tor), but I'm more excited to see Beck on the 3rd leg (MSP and KC). Really hoping for a new song in one of these shows.

We're not Beck fans so we spent that time tailgating in the parking lot (2012 Wren Hop Needle's Eye Sonoma Coast chardonnay with cheese, French bread and charcuterie).
Didn't notice the Drowning Man snippet but did notice most of the others and enjoyed the fact that Bono snuck those in. I have no issue with artists making political points during a show, much the opposite, but much better to do so like that rather than lecturing the crowd between tunes.
Vedder at Dana Point manyana - looking forward to it.
Saw Pink Martini at Ch. Ste. Michelle on Saturday night. Had a little rain towards the end, but still a great concert. That night, lead singer China Forbes sang songs in English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Croatian, Turkish, Lebanese, and Arabic. Seaquam may correct me if I've missed one. I've also heard her sing in German, Italian, and I think Portuguese.
Saw Radiohead in the Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv last month. Was truly amazing. They are so tight as a band, it's remarkable to see. Highly highly recommended.

Perry Farrel is a freak, and not in a good way. Actually that was a bit judgmental. Apologies. Let's just say, I didn't enjoy it.

I Love the 90s at Ravinia near Chicago.

After last year I decided 2 nights was plenty and skipped Friday. I think they greatly expanded the concert area on top of re-configuring things which made for a better experience. They still have work to do on the getting in n out but that seemed better also. It was nice to see sincere efforts to making it a better experience.
Guess Im more of an old timer than you. My faves were Toad the Wet Sprocket, Jane's Addiction and Pink on Saturday. Then Live and Jackson Browne.
Regardless of what you liked sounds like you had a good experience also.

It was a great concert, on the beach (area) with a smaller (ish) crowd. Played with Liam Finn, Fiona Apple (who is a nut, etc.). Only trouble was that Finn played Society during his set so Vedder did not.
The War on Drugs @ Terminal 5 in NYC.
Show was great. The band has a great full sound and Adam Granduciel is a talented guitarist and has a good voice. Influences of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and others can be seen.
I like moving around at shows like this, but am getting tired of the crowds at general admission shows.

Wire at Theatre Fairmount last night with Mimik and our better halves. It's been a long time since I've seen a band whose members are older than me. Significantly too. Six to ten years older. Pretty old crowd too. Good show.

They kind of became the Beach Boys of reggae after a few strong albums in the early 80's. I loved Present Arms. I remember seeing them in 1984 at Super Skate Seven in Waterloo.

Begrudgingly missing Arcade Fire tomorrow night 
Headed out to see U2 tonight. I'm not the biggest fan, but my wife likes them. We've seen them before, and they put on a good show and have a great catalog. Who can complain about spending an evening with friends, beer, and Bono?

Need to ask - what are the acoustics like at Qualcomm? Saw many concerts at Sports Arena and also Balboa (dates me). It's outdoor - so is it decent or does it matter?
Hall & Oates, with St. Paul and the Broken Bones. Hard to tell which I enjoyed more - great show.

Miss Sarajevo - Ive been following set lists and they have only played this rarely on this tour. I was hoping to hear it for the first time ever live and was overjoyed. A very emotional song particularly with the inclusion of the Pavarotti portions included in the background.
Beautiful Day - a recent standard and crowd favorite
Elevation - just rocks
Vertigo - rocks even harder
You're the Best Thing About Me - new song and played acoustically for the first time live because Bono's wife was in attendance and he wanted to feel like he was singing it directly to her
Ultraviolet - a favorite of mine with The Edge killing it on the guitar solos
One - wrapping it up with one of their all time ballads the crowd singing along
This was the last stop on the tour and they went out with a flawless performance! I could do that everyday and be a very happy man

Having dinner with Billy Price and one of Roy's daughters who is an occasional drinking buddy of mine before the show. Should be a hoot!

Roger Waters last weekend in Hartford. He's old and still angry but seemed to be enjoying himself at many times during the show. Man I love quadrophonic sound. Why transmit in anything else at a concert?
It was a fun show with many favorites and some excellent tech work. After seeing both Gilmour and Waters over the last year, I'd have to say that Roger's ego is bigger by moons.

So, after seeing U2 a few weeks ago, and last night Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams (who performed two tunes together, Cuts Like a Knife and Badlands - epic!), Kelly Clarkson (we actually enjoyed her performance) and Bachman/Turner (no Overdrive), we see Paul McCartney tomorrow and Roger Waters a week later.
Seen/seeing more top artists over 5 weeks than I've seen over the past two years!
