Have been trying some Lavazza's darker roasted coffee. Unfortunately it's not available in whole bean at my local. WAY too finely ground for my French press, and barely suitable for my Chemex. Too bad.

I have a Lavazza Expressions coffee shop near me. I usually really like their drip coffee and was considering buying some beans. Recently had a cup that was quite meh, so passed on the beans.

I have a Lavazza Expressions coffee shop near me. I usually really like their drip coffee and was considering buying some beans. Recently had a cup that was quite meh, so passed on the beans.
It's seems their ground coffee is set up for espresso vs. "normal" coffee. I tossed that last half of my bag out, as it just wasn't working out.

Last year Lavazza bought what started out as a very small roaster here in BC, Kicking Horse. I understood that the owners were willing to sell because Lavazza is able to distribute their product internationally, something with which KH had no experience.
I still purchase Kicking Horse's darker roasts fairly regularly, and find them to be particularly good, never over-roasted or bitter. You might keep an eye out for them, likely in the same shop[s] that sells Lavazza.
Of course, the tariffs might make them completely unaffordable by now.

Brazil Seasonal b y Two Brothers. A decent medium roast, but not as good as their Indo Indo, which is probably my favorite. I do need to explore some other local roasters. Occasionally I have a cup I think is fantastic but am let down when using those same beans at home.

Stumptown French Roast.
Counter Culture Frank. Smooth and delicious medium roast. A little brightness from citrus notes.
Sumatra from Fresh Grounds, a local roaster in Geneva, IL. Very good, but I like the Counter Culture Forty-six a little better. I have three very good bags of beans currently in play.

I picked up a fresh bag of Counter Culture 46 over the weekend, so back to that yumminess.
I prefer to drink radichetta (chicory product). It is a healthy drink that is useful for our diet, heart, digestion and even for nervous system! Was lucky to find it in online store of russian products russiantable.com
Peet's Big Bang - a medium roast. I think this ruined Uzuri for me.
