Peet's Arabian Mocha Java. While I like it, I liked the pound of Peet's Gaia Organic Blend from last week a bit more. Both are very good. I went back to buying the beans from the Peet's store versus the 12 oz. bags at our grocery store. Both the improved freshness and, most importantly, the vastly increased selection was the deciding factor.

Sarbuze, if you're buying for a group, check out Costco online. They sell a variety of coffees, some excellent, some not, but you can't beat the prices. They're usually too large for just my wife and me (I like variety, and don't want to drink the same beans for more than a month), but should work well for your purposes. Also, consider trying some medium-dark roasts such as Sumatra rather than just espresso roasts for a change of pace.
Increasingly I'm not inclined to drink them darker. In fact, I don't like them at all that way. A few years ago I didn't mind but I've had too much good coffee lately to want it burned - Bird Roasters in SD did a most excellent Kenyan light roast if you're ever by their shop on Kettner or the roast place on Morena Blvd.

So now that I'm no longer nearby, I have a question - any recs for a place near the Bay Area that anyone knows about? I've found a few roasters that I like - Heart and Verve, but can't always find their beans. Looking for a good Ethiopian or African coffee.

I love Ritual Roasters in the Bay Area, even order online and have it shipped to Ohio
