Whirling dervish through Batdorf and Bronson. Cued up is forty six by counter culture. That's how I survive between the farmers market visits where there's Ethiopian yurgacheffe, Guatemala, and Sumatra coffees I buy. Never a dark roast though. It's a little ways away so local whole foods is my saving grace.
Guatemala Candelaria from Kindred Coffee Roasters.
East Timor Tatamailau (from Starbucks)
Very tasty.
Very tasty.
For the past week, I've been having lattes from Ritual Coffee Roasters in Napa. I recently returned home and made my usual latte using a Bialetti with commercial pre-ground coffee. It tastes terrible, like sour terrible. The coffee smells fine, and the milk isn't spoiled. The scrambled eggs I made seem fine as well.

Hmm. Sounds like a case of PTTL (Post Tahoe Tastebud Letdown).
Best coffee on Earth I ever tried is Vietnamese coffee! It's so chocolate and kind of thick. Just tastes great! Give it a try guys.

Any specifics?
My wife brought back a few pounds of a peaberry coffee from Golden Rabbits Coffee in Bali. It's a medium roast that is delicious. A bit smoky, herbal, earthy, with hints of milk chocolate. I like a darker roast for my first cup in the morning, but this is a delicious and lighter second cup mid-morning.
Kenya AA Rungeto Karimikui from Mostra coffee. Light roast with bright acidity and citrus notes. Fantastic stuff from a local roaster located about 15 minutes from my house.
Red Guy, I picked up a bag of their Costa Rica Tres Rios Aguas Claras last year and loved it. They also collaborate on a stout with Abnormal Beer Co. You're lucky you live nearby.
Starbuck's Colombian while not enjoying the morning news.

Two Brothers White Sky Seasonal - one of my favorite medium roasts.

Where is Mostra?
Camel Mountain Ranch. They are currently in an industrial park and only open M, W, F & Sa. They are in the process of opening up a store on Carmel Mtn Road near the Home Depot and should be open daily at that point.
I'm enjoying their Ethiopa Yirgacheffe right now. Excellent, but I think the nod goes to the Ethiopia Humbella. Their Espresso roast is also excellent for the home espresso machine.
P.S. I just got a notification that they are selling whole bean coffee at the Lomas Sante Fe Vons. Might be a little closer to you.
Enjoying a Starbucks Sumatra while watching the news...Tick tock, tick tock
Also enjoying this morning's news with some Yirgacheffe. Rock on, Bobby Three Sticks.

Papua New Guinea this morning while enjoying the news and the paper. I enjoy them every morning since the SHPOG flush on January 20th. Coffee tastes so much better for some reason!
I wonder what Donald Jr is drinking.

Yep. Lied to FBI about his meeting with the Russians while part of the Trump team, because?
Now he and others will start to jump ship, cut deals and the con man tweets.
Kona coffee from our trip to the big island. Really nice and smooth, too bad it is so pricey!
Cuban Cubita Dark Roast which we brought back from our recent trip.

Macchiato and pour-over at Local Coffee in San Antonio. Both excellent.
Delicious French press at Commonwealth Coffee in San Antonio. Bold, but not harsh or burnt tasting. Taking advantage of my wife’s propensity for out-sleeping me.

Well, you are in a dreadfully sleepy town!

3-shot cappuccino back at Local Coffee. Heading up to Austin for three nights today. I hope their Java game is strong there.

Can't wait for that first cup in the morning.

Rebuked!

Finally made it to the Vons and picked up the Mostra Brazil Oberon... made it in the timed drip Mr. Coffee maker and awoke the next am with the scent of chocolate in the kitchen, yum! Like the nuttiness as well.. Good call, thanks..
Hoodoo Jo from Three Sisters
Starbucks Pikes Place. A nice medium roast, with good flavor and aromas. Pleasant surprise.

Never had it before?
Not until a few weeks back. On my second bag. I like a darker roast, but this has enough flavor and character to work for me very well.
I've never been a Starbucks aficionado (sorry TPE) but this is a decent bag of beans...
