That would be Yirgachaffe (or Yirgacheffe, depending on who you ask). My better half calls it "crack coffee" because she can't stop drinking it, even when she knows she probably should.

That's the one. I share her opinion, it is amazing. Of course, I've learned a lot is driven by your grinder and a number of other vZariables when you have a manual/semi manual espresso maker but that's the beauty of it. The espresso these beams produce is close to nirvana.

Whole bean. Keep it in the coolest part of the cellar. Never the freezer. It's still fine. The "best before"'date on the packages is end of May (for all that means).

Back and forth between Vigilante Ethiopia Lekempti and Zeke's Mexican Chiapas. Both local roasters and I buy the bean at a discount because the organic market my son works at carries them in bulk. Unfortunately we go through about a pound a week.

Enjoyed the best cappuccino I've had in years, Friday morning, at a small cafe in Venice called Palanca. So good that I ordered another which wasn't near as good. Hard to repeat the perfect combination and balance consistently.

Best coffee I ever had was at Douwe Egberts store during vacation in the Netherlands. I highly recommend to all the coffee lovers. It is pricy but amazing.

Counter Culture Batin Baru - An experimental lot of Sumatran coffee beans.

This is the first Sumatran I can recall that didn't taste burnt from over roasting. A very nice cup o' joe.

A 4-shot cappuccino.

A six shot iced mocha.

The dog decided she had to go outside at 4am this morning and I couldn't get back to sleep. When I looked at my 4-shot mocha I knew that was not going to be enough to get me going today.

Been roasting my own coffee beans since the beginning of this year. I purchase the raw beans from places like Sweet Marias, Roastmasters, Burman coffee, Mr Green Bean and have been enjoying a much wider range of coffee than anytime previous. Lately i've been into coffee from Colombia, Papau New Guinea, Ethiopia, Yemen & Hawaii.

Making due with some Starbucks Columbian.

Went through a bag of Mostra Coffee Costa Rica Tres Rios Aguas Claras and I miss it.

40% Yirgachaffe for fruity aromatics
30% Planet Coffee "Morning Glory Blend" for earthy tobacco-y flavours
30% La Bolsa from Guatemala for dark, almost expresso-like oomph

Duane Haren was a sommelier in Hawaii (Maui and Kahala resorts, IIRC) and got into brewing for a spell. I have not tried his coffee, but have heard good things. How much does a pound go for?

I have recently graduated to a Mazzer mini grinder as a nice addition to my Rancilio Silvia espresso machine. I make loooong espressos and drink them black. After many trials, I like forty six by counter culture, but more often I go to the dekalb farmers market in Atlanta and load up on Ethiopian yurgacheffe of their own roasting. I've grown to dislike French roast and most of Starbucks now tastes burned to me. I've become a coffee snob.

I also enjoy the forty six blend. I have them include one bag of that and one of the Big Trouble in each shipment. Big fan of those guys.

Costco has the best QPR for coffee IMHO. Ran out of Kirkland Riwanda (my favorite Costco coffee), so picked up Kirkland Sumatra and Mayorga Cuban. Yum!
