I'm jealous. I live near Seattle. I tried growing a dwarf Meyer lemon tree in my living room, with large windows facing a southern exposure. It still didn't make it.

We have the tree on our deck in a large planter - I believe it was planted in May - first fruit was 7-8 lemons - there are 50+ budding now - we'll see how many survive
After dinner Saturday night with some friends, we went "curling" at the Hotel Gwen. I enjoyed some new cocktails:
Gold Coast - Angel's Envy bourbon, lemonhead syrup, egg white and a spiced pear rinse.
Hyde Park - Bacardi black rum, pineapple, lemon, ginger and cinnamon.
Just made some grilled pineapple infused mezcal. Used it to make some jalapeno Tommy style margaritas...excellent! It's total liquid crack!
2nd batch of Margaritas of the year. First batch was made last week and disappeared quickly with a couple of wonderful house guests. Made the 2nd batch on Sunday for pizza dinner with #1 daughter and family. Have a little left over, and am sipping a wee dram. And yes, I know it's not even 4PM yet.

Didn't make this, but had a Cucumber Vodka Lemonade cocktail last night and really enjoyed it. I can't remember the last time I had vodka, but this was so refreshing last night.
Juicy pussy

2 parts peach schnapps
2 parts pineapple juice
Cucumber martini
Muddle pealed cucumber with basil and simple syrup. Add fresh lime juice and gin. Add ice, shake and strain into martini glass. Could substitute for vodka if preferred.

Yes, it has a little less juniper berry and more of other flavors. My favorite gin
There are some interesting gins in Scotland that use local herbs and ingredients. Some don't make it outside of the country. Instead of bringing back Scotch, I'm stocking up on these gins in my next trip.
Dirty Martini for my honey

Carbonated vodka on the rocks with Key limes.
