Can anyone recommend me a florally vermouth?
Noilly Prat Extra Dry, if you're talking white.

thanks
yes white, i'm looking for a good florally dry vermouth for a cleanish martini that's more fragrant than bitter.
is it still a martini if you had 3 parts gin and a lemon twist, stirred in ice?

No vermouth. Not a martini.
I like to pour a dribble of vermouth into a chilled glass, swirl to coat and then pour in chilled gin.

Aviation- been playing around with this recipe

A Churchill martini: when you glance at the vermouth as you're pouring the gin...

Funny! Winston has a plethora of alcohol related quotables, for sure. I do think that a whiff of vermouth does make a martini better. Otherwise, it's just gin and bitters.

I like Dolin Dry for my Martini: made 3-1 with 2 dashes of orange bitters.

Btw I recommend the Death and Co version:
2 oz Plymouth gin
3/4 oz Lemon juice
1/2 oz Luxardo maraschino liquor
1/4 oz Simple syrup
1/2 tsp Creme de violette
Two types of spritzes:
Aperol Spritz
Hugo - basically replace Aperol with St Germain and add muddled mint
Frozen watermelon daiquiris
Remember the Maine
Did a fun twist on the belmont since i had the ingredients.
2 parts gin
3-4 basil leaves
1/2 part maraschino cherry liqour
1/2 part pomegranite
1/2 part lemonade
muddle gin and basil leaves together first before adding other ingredients.
Garnish with lemon rind.
And for all you fancy-schmancy bartenders out there, I'm having a simple Rum & Coke.
Meyers Dark 40%. Coca Cola 60%. Twist of lime. Repeat.

Not sure what's it called .One part nitro stout, one part black strap rum, small float of creme on top, garnish with nutmeg. Super decadent
Been pretty hot here, lately. Tanqueray gin & tonics are just the ticket.
Jungle Bird
Too many Bombay Sapphire martinis at Peter Lugers. Did not help that we pre-gamed with a few Mr. Howells and Oaxaca Old Fashioneds.
Needless to say waking up today was very difficult...
Old fashioned !
Boulevardiers but with Aperol instead of Campari. Dangerous.

The mint was an interesting add on for me for a little bit of balance to an otherwise rich drink .And yeah I love the classic jungle bird too
