What BEER are you drinking?

@shavez     ps My thoughts were with you when when I heard Germany was out.

Last night: St-Ambroise Double IPA.  Loved it, but I'm still looking for that kind of flavour in 5-6% abv instead of 8%, if that's even possible.  I don't know enough about the beer-making process to say.

Oh yeah, that was painful. Maybe that was what drove me to choose a non-German beer the other day, sub-consciously...

I hope all is well in TO. I miss the FWR and all the offlines!

Spent yesterday exploring the craft beer scene in Macon & Greensboro GA. Tasted some excellent brews with the highlights listed below.

Macon:

Ocmulgee Brewing - Coffee Maple Porter

Piedmont Brewing - Imperial Porter- aged for 12 months in rum barrels

Greensboro:

Oconee Brewing - Coffee Saison

Lindemans Cuvee Rene Oude Gueuze 2017 100% authentic lambic 6% vol

Rich dark golden colour, haze due to second fermentation the beer undergoes in the bottle, on the nose yeast, sea spray, leather and funk. The palate is dominated by the crisp and sharp lemon notes, tart, faint leather and some orange peels. Light bodied and crisp. Will age some bottles to explore how the taste changes.
