Three Floyds is one of the new darlings in craft beer. I look forward to trying one.

It wasn't bad beer.
The menu itself was surprisingly good. I hadn't been there in a while, and I actually thought it was pretty decent. In the past, I haven't been too impressed - mostly been there for lunches and thought it was overpriced. But for dinner it was fine.
About 5 types of beers, all brewed right there.
Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' last night on the deck.
London's finest hand-pumped ales... love 'em, but they could keep them a little chillier.
My favorite style of beer in the world is a proper ale from a well conditioned cask. I actually like the serving temperature. It’s cold enough outside, you don’t need ice cold beer!quote:Originally posted by Jabe11:

I can't disagree with that. Honorable mention to a pilz on tap when in the Czech republic or a Guinness in Ireland. After extensive research, I find Guinness does not travel well off the island. It is the personification of that land...
Two Brothers Dark Mild, from a bomber at home.

On Island vs off island.
NO comparison!
Been enjoying some lagers lately. Carlsburg, Spaten and Birra Moretti. Thought Birra Moretti was the nicest.

I'm a big fan of Deschutes and the Black Butte is really nice. I can only handle one though as its a heavy ass beer.quote:Originally posted by wineismylife:

Yep. Like Lentini I'll drink just about anything they produce. Off the top of my head I've enjoyed American Amber Ale, Chocolate Stout, Double Chocolate Stout, Double Dead Guy Ale, Mocha Porter and Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout. Probably a few others I've forgotten. On my "strange stuff to try list" is their Voodoo Bacon Maple Ale.
I bought this locally a few months ago. Check around to see if there's any in your area.quote:Originally posted by wineismylife:

I've had it a few times. It's a very um interesting beer. I love to serve it to friends to see the look on their faces.
To relieve me of the 90 degrees, limited summer release blue moon agave blonde ale. Quite refreshing.

Actually it just hit one of my local stores as well. My wine chick has it on hold for me to come pick up the next time I'm there.

You know Alaska gets all kinds of accolades but of the few beers of theirs I've tried (2, 3?), they have been pretty pedestrian. Certainly not bad.
