Seriously good beer!
Yesterday all on tap:
* Victory Headwaters Pale Ale
* Samuel Adams Double Pumpkin Ale
* Ommegang Seduction
The Victory was a nice, quaffable beer. Clean and crisp on the palate with just enough weight. Seemed to have a bit of elevated IBU.
The Sam Adams was not as pumpkin flavors as I would've thought. Much more emphasizing smoke and earth. Interesting although outside my normal wheelhouse.
The Ommegang was very nice with lots of chocolate and caramel aromas and flavors. I'd order again.

Yesterday all on tap:
* Deep Ellum Backslider Blonde
* Rahr and Sons Iron Thistle
* Boulevard Chocolate Ale
The Deep Ellum is a nice, light, quaffable type of beer that would be a good alternative to Miller Light or Coors Lite poolside. Enough said.
The Rahr is a roasted, toasty caramel and chocolate malt affair. Good, would likely order again.
The Boulevard stole the show. A big glass of Nestle's Chocolate Milk on the nose and palate. Yummy.

My golf club has one new guest keg each month. February is Anderson Valley Hop Ottin IPA. So nice I had 3!

I didn't have the chance, steve8. On my previous 2 visits, beer was a secondary beverage for us! If you recommend the St. Ambroise, I'll look for it. I don't recall seeing it at my local store, but could have walked by it 100 times....

As I recall, the beer was my idea. We were in the middle of a shopping jaunt with the ladies, and I was needing a "pick-me-up." I had 2 Fin du Mondes which achieved a slightly opposite effect....
KSC did partake, as I recall.

Uinta Golden Spike Hefweizen - a perfect accompaniment to beer-battered fish & chips.
Grand River Brewing - Mill Race Mild Ale.
Almost a Schwarzbier, I really love British stlye black ales like this which look like stout, smell like stout and have many of the same flavours (chocolate, malt, molasses) but are light and refreshing with no bitterness.
This beer at 3.5% is maybe the best session beer I've ever tried (though lunch with my wife isn't the right time to try...)

Just finished 12 Shiner Bock Holiday Cheer bottles. Brewed with Texas peaches and pecans.

Yesterday all on tap:
New Belgium Dig
Nice pale ale but a bit more hoppy like an IPA. Citrus finish. Probably won't seek out again.
Palm Speciale
Good Belgium style ale. Roasty, toasty kind of affair. Bit jumbled on the palate. Not likely to order again.
Peticolas Velvet Hammer
Tasty Imperial Red. Good balance and weight on the palate. Would order again.

Never seen the D25...do they have quite a few beers that don't make it to retail?
Not that I'm aware of. Usually everything they throw on tap gets at least a small amount bottled. I overheard someone asking if they "still had this" on tap and after trying a sample, drank a whole pint. I liked it since it was less hoppy and a departure from a lot fo their other stuff. English style.
Met up with billhike at The Map Room and tried a couple new (to me) brews:
Chouffe Bière de Soleil
Krombacher Weizen
Then went for Mexican with the family and had a couple Modelo Espcials.

Yesterday all on tap:
* Victory Ale
* Dogfish Head Immort Ale
* Victory Storm King (CASK)
The Victory Ale is a nice Helles. Light citrus nose. Clean and refreshing palate. Good weekend pool or lake beer.
The Dogfish had a floral nose. Palate had a bit of licorice but an odd medicinal component. Don't recommend.
The Victory Storm King is a kick a$$ PULLED stout. Roasty and toasty with a hint of dark chocolate and bitters on the finish. Recommended to highly recommended.

Not to my taste either.
Yesterday, I picked up a 6 pack of Lagunitas Sumpin Sumpin. My local store had been out for almost a month, so I was glad to see it back. Not the same beer.

Yesterday, I picked up a 6 pack of Lagunitas Sumpin Sumpin. My local store had been out for almost a month, so I was glad to see it back. Not the same beer.VERY very grapefruity and missing the subtle hop blend that I so liked in previous batches. I hope this is just an off batch and that they didn't change the recipe.

Interesting...I just back from the store I found this at. They have been out for 2 wks now. I have the last 6 pack in my fridge downstairs and had one last night...still tasted the same...love this beer...it would be my luck if they changed it

I'm with you marcb7. It's my current fave in their lineup. Even the colors on the 6 pack holder (?) looked different. I'm hoping it's just a one time thing. I wrote the brewery and am awaiting a response.

+2 Best though, if you can get it in an Irish pub with a fairly high turnover, so you always have a fresh keg.
