Being an unabashed hophead myself, what foods do you eat with aggressive IPAs like the Stone Ruination? I'd love ideas...

I had a Big Ballard IPA at the Redhook brewery yesterday. It went very well with their Buffalo & Peppered Bacon Burger. Big Grin

This was served with felalel. May sound wierd, but there is a little cayenne in the felafel mix, and it was served with a little minced jalapeno. The heat from the two peppers along with the melange of flavors from the felafel, tomato, onion, cucumber and yogurt dialed back the hop effect just enough for it to make sense. Like mneeley's experience, maybe the heat in the food had something to do with it??

First of all, it was a free from the owner of the bar so that was awesome. It was delicious but too sweet for me. The small taste he gave us at first was great and sufficient. When he have us the entire pint after that, well it was too much.
