What BEER are you drinking?

North winds Old Baldy lager and Wee Willy Ale. Not bad with the house made chilli and chorizo.

What did it cost you? I have a couple of bottles I think I paid around $25 per which is pretty normal for this type of beer. I paid $45 for a Cantillon 750ml early in my sour beer stage.

Kensington Fisheye IPA

Fat Tire Amber Ale - people around here rave about it, but I wasn't duly impressed, so my second beer was a New Castle Brown Ale, which I enjoyed more.

Oh, also a couple of Michelob Ultras, but I'm not sure if those count.

Not Your Father's Root Beer (10.7%)...tastes like root beer.

2013 Cascade Kriek - solid but not phenomenal.

Gigantic IPA, Stoup II IPA, Stone Black IPA.
It seems that Belgian styles have pushed IPA aside in terms of hipness, but I liked the style the first time I tried it, and still do.

I actually got up on Black Friday to go shopping - for the newly released 2014 Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout. We got to Binny's about 30 minutes prior to opening and there was already a huge line outside. I decided not to wait in the freezing temps for a beer. We ran a few errands and came back for some other items we needed from Binny's, and they still had some BC. Went through the line five times and came home with the last bottle at my location.

Opened one at dinner Friday night with VM and Allred - it was as good as the hype in my mind.

Barking Squirrel amber lager from Hop City brewery out of Brampton, Ontario. I had never even heard of the stuff a year ago and now I see it in every bar I go to in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) including downtown.
