A bit of an issue with this bottle as it was almost frozen after being accidentally left in the freezer. Cork leaked and approximately 3cm of beer was lost.

Ruddy red and opaque color; sour spiced nose; tart sour body with complex flavors of cherry, grain, cinnamon. The oak aging comes through in the mid palate splintery texture. Very intriguing. Easily and by far the most expensive beer I've ever purchased!
What did it cost you? I have a couple of bottles I think I paid around $25 per which is pretty normal for this type of beer. I paid $45 for a Cantillon 750ml early in my sour beer stage.
I actually got up on Black Friday to go shopping - for the newly released 2014 Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout. We got to Binny's about 30 minutes prior to opening and there was already a huge line outside. I decided not to wait in the freezing temps for a beer. We ran a few errands and came back for some other items we needed from Binny's, and they still had some BC. Went through the line five times and came home with the last bottle at my location.

Opened one at dinner Friday night with VM and Allred - it was as good as the hype in my mind.

Have you enjoyed their 6 & 8 in the past?

I have not. How are they different? Which one is your favorite?

I buy more 8 than the others, but truly enjoy all their beers.

Having an 8 tonight. Pretty nice. Thanks.
