KSC, note this as on of my "wow" Cos. When well cared for, a really wonderful Bordeaux. I hope yours shows well Wineplease.

A huge +1. An absolutely knock-your-socks-off wine.

I hope you don't need the backup. Have had the 70 GdL one time and it was sublime.
Hope yours shows well.
I look forward to the notes on that GdL. I still have one or two. Cellar log says two, but looking without pulling everything out I only see one.

Not planning to open it for a couple of weeks. Giving it a nice long stand. But I'll report back once I've tried it.
Going out to dinner tonight with fish featured, but not sure of preparation, so 2006 Moreau Chablis Valmur and Les Clos as well as 2001 Weinbach Gewürztraminer Cuvee Laurence; waiting to hear choices before deciding.
2001 Rotllan Torra Priorat Tirant
Mixed reviews on this one, but most seem to agree it'll never be the 96-98 Parker gave it. Has anyone opened one lately?

Haven't had one in a few years. I opened my last of a 6 pack back in 2011. It was the best of the 6, and still had the stuffing to go for a few years. I experienced a high degree of bottle variation with this wine. The best was excellent. The least good was..... just good.

I'm confident you will enjoy it a great deal.

Hard as it may be to believe, I wish I would be in Montreal over the next 3 days rather than in Italy.......

Love to hear your opinion on that one Dok! I have 9 or 10 bottles remaing. Hasn't seemed close to ready so far, but its been a year or two since the last one.
In honor of the upcoming Montreal offline, I'm standing a 1982 Gruaud Larose. Butterflied leg of lamb and risotto for Sunday's dinner.

You are always on the list, Lb. Although it appears that you're moving even further away soon!

Yep. Moving back closer to my roots. I will still be up in your neck of the woods on business. Just won't be driving my car. Hope to see you sooner than later.
