I just had my last 1997 Dominus of three magnums and it dried a little bit with decanting and time in the glass. I'd pop and pour and then decide whether to decant. Just my opinion.

Do you frequent Ellicottville? I spent a weekend there (one of the ski hills was trying to recruit me for instructing). Since getting more into wine than skiing another trip (and bringing some wine back) has appeal. A side trip to Century in Rochester and a visit with Sherwood Deutsch also appeals.
