The Stars - In our bedroom after the war

One of the best live shows I've ever seen. Two days before Christmas at Lee's Palace and they ended the night with Torquil Campbell and Amy Millan, the two lead signers doing Fairytale of New York pretty much a cappella. Millan didn't even use a mic and she was absolutely amazing. One of those magical concert moments when everyone falls into a hush because they knew they just witnessed something that will stick with them for a long time.

Listening to a mix of José González and Junip

You are correct, but those of us who are not lawyers are able to let that kind of mistake go, especially on a forum of winos. Razz Big Grin

The Pogues - Red Roses for Me

Just educating not trying to start anything . . . I leave that to the other lawyers

I've been on an Allman Brothers kick for a few months now. I played them to death in high school - especially the Fillmore album. Now I'm listening to the 6-disc box set of those concerts.

But what happened to Disc 2 in your rotation? That's my fave from the Dreams compilation.

Exact same scenario here Sunnylea, albeit high school was much more recent. Razz
Omitting #2 was not intentional and I agree it is one of my favourites

Back when I was in school you listened to music on Edison cylinders and you had to crank the handle on the machine to make them spin. No 'lectricity in those days. And the only Allman back then was Cletus Allman who ran the general store up yonder over the hill. I had to astral project half a century into the future to the 1970s to listen to Gregg and Duane play.
