Was it at the Foufounes Électriques? I remember the name because I did not know the word foufounes before then!

That was 28 years ago Bman! But that sounds right and definitely the appropriate venue. They played all of 45 minutes IIRC...arrogant pricks.
Vivaldi - The Four Seasons, Nigel Kennedy & the English Chamber Orchestra
Seems appropriate on this snowy morning.

I've got a bunch of assorted '60s and '70s Motown shuffling this morning. This is real feel-good music.

I've always preferred bands that follow the first 'the' with someone's name and then 'orchestra'. Like Duke Ellington or Cole Porter or Benny Goodman. Now those were great band names!!!!!
'the the' is a syntax error at best! not a name any self-respecting group of young musicians i know would call themselves.
and boy could Benny play that clarinet.... now where did i put my phonograph?
If it is not on a wax cylinder it is not worth listening to.

I can school you in good music tonight if you'll be at La Costa wine.
Eddie Vedder acoustic show played a few weeks ago in Seattle in front of 90 people. Glass of wine in hand and lights turned down.
Taking it in the other direction - deadmau5 on Spotify. I hear he is a huge jerk, but man do I love his music.
Herbie Hancock - Inventions & Dimensions
Tom Waits - Nighthawks at the Diner
Aghora 'Formless' - best metal album in the last 10 years.

+1 - on both the name of the band and the brilliance of the album.
Incredible live band, as well.
