Bach Harpsichord concertos, a horrible mix on a Naxos disc...the low strings barely audible, the high ones drowning out the soloist(s).

Aphilla, know of a better recording? This was bwv 1052, -53, -55, & -56.
Thx, J-

I'm listening to the French Suites recorded on piano right now myself.

French suites...noted. I have a weakness for harp so will look for it on that.

I have the art of fugue for the harpsichord and I never really warmed to that work. I imagined it was a piece that you could appreciate by reading, but maybe not by listening to, but then I got a recording of it performed by string quartet and now I like it quite a lot.

Blue Rodeo was playing at the restaurant tonight.

Not sure I ever recall that before.

Really? This Blue Rodeo?

That is the group, but do not recall that song.

I'm guessing 5-6 straight songs.

Menas... why so curious?
Roxy Music - Siren

W+A, I'm curious that they played a Tex-Mex restaurant in Carrollton, TX. Didn't realize they were known that far south. Granted, playing a restaurant isn't exactly the pinnacle of a career. I did like the music they made in the early-mid 90's.

Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde

Excellent, and my second favorite of Dylan.

...and your favourite is? Hwy 61? Blood on the Tracks?

BoB is my favourite Dylan album.

Los Lobos - By the Light of the Moon

A great a album. I had to learn the title track on guitar and still love to play/sing it.

I had my parents dylan albums to tap into when a youth...blood on the tracks for me and still so poignant.

From the concertos above, I recommend the largo from 1056 if you haven't heard it. Even on a suspect mix it is brilliant.
