A great fan. Leon Russell was such a positive influence on his career .

Agreed.
The Police - Synchronicity
The The - Dusk
The Beatles, Joe Cocker (again), Elton John.
I've been haunted by Cocker's "Do I still Figure in Your Life" for the past 2 days... of course I've known it since I was about 7, so maybe it is nostalgia, but it has haunted me nonetheless, and I've listened to it at least 6 or 7 times in the past 2 days.

Tone Loc is a good introduction to rap for you, Board-O. I suggest that NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" would be the logical next step.

When I came into the office, Kenny G was on the XM radio!!

I sprinted to the controller to correct this immediately. Now listening to Cannonball Adderly solo on Freddy Freeloader. Much better....

In 1994, I saw them in a small club here in SLC - about 300-400 people. They put on an unbelievably gret show.

TOTAL ace.
"Thunder Road" over and over. Not often mentioned as one of the greatest rock songs ever. But when you do mention it as one of your very favorites, everyone always agrees... sheer brilliance, imo.
Van Morrison with my espresso overlooking the gardens of Powerscourt Ireland. A fine start to my day.
Nina Simone was playing at our restaurant tonight.
Perfect for our setting.

Very cool!
I never did hear her live.
Lots of U2 and Lenny Kravitz, both currently and on tap for the rest of the day. I haven't been to a real rock concert in ages and, on a whim, yesterday I found out they were going to be in town (Kravitz opening for U2) in 2 weeks and got tickets. I've seen Kravitz in concert once before, never U2. Excited!
