Absolutely his best IMHO. If you haven't already, check out the box set rerelease from few years ago. It has a DVD where they performed the entire album live on a sound stage. It was filmed in 2009 while Clarence was still alive. GREAT performance and great sound.

A quick search turned up a series of shows in July at Soldier Field, so I guess that's what you are referring to? If so, no, I was never really a big fan.
