Because two copies of the greatest rock and roll album ever made just wasn't enough. It sounds great. Let It Loose and Torn & Frayed never sounded so good.

Not the greatest, imo, but one of them. And it has grown on me over time. None of my very favorite Stones songs, but lots of great ones and their most consistent album.

One of the greatest albums of all time! Have you heard the unreleased, all acoustic, version? I think I have almost every Dylan bootleg Roll Eyes

Right now, just finished Jakob Dylan's new CD, "Women + Country". Outstanding. T Bone Burnett produced it and gives it an incredible sound.

Now, it's Bill Charlap Trio and some piano jazz.

It just reminds me of my college time nearly 15 years ago...then I think how it wasn't stressful then while enjoying a good glass of wine. Then I change the music and a grin comes on my face Wink

If that is your relaxing mix I'd love to hear your pick me up tunes. Big Grin

On the pod is Dizzy - Salt Peanuts
Genesis- Illegal Alien

Got out of bed, wasn't feeling too good
With my wallet and my passport, a new pair of shoes
The sun is shining so I head for the park,
With a bottle of tequila, and a new pack of cigarettes.

I got a cousin and she got a friend,
Who thought that her aunt knew a man who could help.
At his apartment I knocked on the door,
He wouldn't come out until he got paid.
Now don't tell anybody what I wanna do
If they find out you know that they'll never let me through, cos

It's no fun being an illegal alien, no
It's no fun being an illegal alien.

Down at the office had to fill out the forms
A pink one, a red one, the colours you choose.
Up to the counter to see what they think
They said "It doesn't count man, it ain't written in ink".
I don't trust anybody, least not around here, cos

It's no fun being an illegal alien, I tell ya
It's no fun being an illegal alien, no no no no no
It's no fun being an illegal alien, I mean it when I tell ya that
It's no fun being an illegal alien,
An illegal alien, OK.

Consideration for your fellow man
Would not hurt anybody, it sure fits in with my plan.
Over the border, there lies the promised land
Where everything comes easy, you just hold out your hand.

Keep your suspicions, I've seen that look before
But I ain't done nothing wrong now, is that such a surprise.
But I've got a sister who'd be willing to oblige
She will do anything now to help me get to the outside.

So don't tell anybody what I wanna do,
If they find out you know that they'll never let me through, because

It's no fun being an illegal alien, I tell ya
It's no fun being an illegal alien, and it's getting me down
It's no fun being an illegal alien, no no no no no
It's no fun being an illegal alien, yeah yeah yeah.

It's no fun (not much fun) being an illegal alien, I tell ya that
It's no fun being an illegal alien, I tell ya
It's no fun being an illegal alien, no no no
It's no fun (not bloody much fun) being an illegal alien,
It's no fun being an illegal alien, and that's what I am.

An Outlaw. I was going to get a Hsu, but this one had the BASH amp that SVS uses and it's designed by Hsu, so I get the best of both worlds. Using a 50 hz crossover and one of the two ports plugged in extension mode, it is deep and tight.

Highway 61 Revisited

Perhaps my favorite album of all time.

Right now... Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs -- another inarguable top 10 for me, and one I'd not listened to in months. Magic.

You were truly born too late! Wink

We children of baby boomers listen to the same music our parents listened to. We cannot help it. It is just better.
I've assembled a playlist of songs that the individual Beatles released as solo recordings in 1970-1971, so that if they hadn't broken up, this is how their next album after Abbey Road might have shaped up:

Side one:
1. Every Night (Paul from "McCartney")
2. Imagine (John from "Imagine")
3. Maybe I'm Amazed (Paul from "McCartney")
4. What is Life (George from "All Things Must Pass)
5. Teddy Boy (Paul from "McCartney)
6. Instant Karma (John, single)

Side two:
1. My Sweet Lord (Harrison from "All Things Must Pass)
2. Heart of the Country (Paul from "Ram")
3. Jealous Guy (John from "Imagine")
4. It Don't Come Easy (Ringo, single)
5. Junk (Paul, from "McCartney")
6. Oh My Love (John, from "Imagine")

The usual allotment of two songs for George and one for Ringo to sing is preserved.

Will probably tweak the song choices and running order some more.

Excellent, music anyway. Razz
