The Boss - Darkness on the Edge of Town

Cool

Maybe his best!

Absolutely his best IMHO. If you haven't already, check out the box set rerelease from few years ago. It has a DVD where they performed the entire album live on a sound stage. It was filmed in 2009 while Clarence was still alive. GREAT performance and great sound.

Wow, I saw them in a bar at UT in the mid 80s. Are they still kicking?

Yep - still playing Saxon Pub semi-regularly and other venues around here.

When were you at UT?
I was at UT grad school from 1983-1985. Ancient history...

Wow. Haven't listened to that album in ages. I'll have to give it a spin tonight.

Are you prepping for Chicago by chance?

A quick search turned up a series of shows in July at Soldier Field, so I guess that's what you are referring to? If so, no, I was never really a big fan.

Ah. The Dead is reuniting (sans Jerry) for a few shows this summer to celebrate 50 years. Kicking off in Chicago.

To you "harass" is two separate words.

What are you trying to say Dok? That I'm old and stuck in my ways? Big Grin

Right now I'm listening to
