GREAT CD!!!The Gunners Dream may be my favorite PF song. I love it when he holds "Dreeeeeaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmm" and his voice fades into the sax solo.

Los Lonely Boys
Jack Johnson
DMB
Eddie Bo
Radiators
Steel Pulse

This station is out of Edmonton Alberta, and is the best, last hour, Jack Johnson, Joni Mitchell, Thievery Corporation, Shemekia Copland , on and on it goes, take a listen.

Kaiser Chiefs - Employment (OK. Not as good as I expected.)
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm (not sure about this one yet)
Muse - Absolution (every home should have one)

This very second is Kelly Clarkson, Since U Been Gone. Yeah, I said Kelly Clarkson. Red Face

It's alright though. She's an American Idol. If you don't like her, you don't like America. Cool
Phish - Slip, Stich & Pass
Nas - Streets Disciple
Nas - Illmatic
The Band - The Last Waltz
Willie Nelson - don't know the album, digging through my parent's stash at the moment

That's like saying if you don't like White Zinfandel you don't like California. Huh?

He's wearing me out on Led Zep and AC/DC.

Right now?
Right this second, as I type...

I can hear "Pretty in Pink". I believe the movie is playing right now on the TV I use for background noise.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I love Celine. Don't talk about her that way.
I heard Celine Dion has been griping about the Vegas crowds. She was saying something about the people being tired and jet lagged, not showing enthusiasm, falling asleep in the seats, etc. Well, you can bet that never happened when the King played Vegas baby.

Probably never even happened to Wayne Newton either.
That happened to me the one time I saw her...barely made it there carrying my briefcase into Caesar's Palace...sitting by myself...huffing and puffing...trying to adjust to the two hour time difference since I was an early sleeper back then. I was tired, very tired, but the show was fantastic and I would see it again and again and again.

She is not the best performer in the world; however, Dralion, the show's producer makes it one of the best shows I have ever seen.
Pharoah Sanders, Live in Seattle

. . .and since somebody mentioned Israel Kamakawi'wo'ole, I'm gonna dust off some old Hawaiian CDs. Theresa Bright is a beautiful singer.

Scubarex, how was the show? I am waiting for the CD to come out, love the song BYOB.. Wink Smile

That was the opening song. It was a sweat fest. The venue holds about 800 people who were mostly packed in a moshing, slamdancing, bodysurfing cluster on the main floor. I on the other hand staked out a spot on the balcony dead center. Thus enjoying the band and youthful exuberance below. The show was a non top aural assault.

nin, be gone...
Friday afternoons, I like to lighten the mood by tuning in to the "Lounge" channel on Radio@Netscape for some space-age cocktail sounds.
Just got a 30GB iPod, so I am listening to stuff I forgot I'd owned as I try to fill the thing with CD's and .mp3's.... Dave Matthews, Faith No More, Kate Bush, Iron Maiden, Sloan, Sublime, etc.

Besides that, I can't get enough of The Arcade Fire's Funeral CD. One of the few CD's I have bought recently that I can actually listen in its entirity. Not exactly uplifting music but amazing stuff.

Confused
Right now: The Dead "Terrapin Station Live"

Lately: any Dead, any DMB, Clash "Sandinista", MoFro "Lochloosa" & "Blackwater", String Cheese Incident, Pearl Jam, Pat Metheny, Jean Luc-Ponty, Pink Floyd "Meddle" & "Animals", Ronnie Laws, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express, Robin Trower, Norah Jones, Led Zeppelin "Physical Graffiti" & "Houses of the Holy", Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn
Like Baird, I too seem to be having a hard time getting The Arcade Fire out of my CD player. I've had the CD for a couple of months now and I like it more with every listen. The last album that did this to me was You Forgot It In People by Broken Social Scene.
No Kenny Roll Eyes, but would you believe I played a Spyro Gyra disc yesterday at work? Eek It's only 'cause I played vibes & marimba in high school, and I always thought they had a good mallet-percussionist.

Some Who's Next is currently putting me back on course. Smile
Right now, I'm listening to thousands and thousands of little flowers on grapevines screaming... "no no, make it stop, make it stop...."

it's been raining for 36 hours. This vintage is in big trouble.

a little elton john in the background too.
God, it's such a slow day...bleh. Me and Wine Kami are dying from boredom here.
Can I borrow your mini E for some entertainment?

p.s. I'm listening to Mylene Farmer right now.

I'm having motivation trouble myself. Why don't you get in the car and join the supper club tonight? I hear there will be a Hairclub for Men demonstration during dessert.

Right now I'm listening to Howard Stern Cool on my iPod.

Later I'll be listening to Gordon Lightfoot at his concert at Massey tonight! Sweet.
"Weld" Live Double Album- Neil Young and Crazy Horse

Right now "Cortez The Killer" is playing

The song rocks but makes me feel ashamed to be a White man. Sorry Aztecs.
Keb Darge's Legendary Deep Funk vol. 1 & 2

If anybody likes it funky, these are some rare grooves from the 60's. Mostly singles that are not available anywhere anymore.

It's good to see another jazz fan on the board. "The three M's" - Miles, Mingus and Monk. Haven't explored Mingus -- yet.
System of a Down - Mesmerize

This band is truly warped. I don't know how screaming and thrash metal can be catchy, but it is on this new CD.

Slayer-like speed metal one second and Greek Wedding music the next. Confused Big Grin
