I get it, and agree he can't hold the notes for as long or perform as long. I guess in my mind I'm comparing him to the others more along the lines of when he "does" sing, what does his voice sound like. Certainly not as much power as he had in the past, but he still sounds great, especially compared to others 20-30 years his junior. At the end of the day you're right - the fact he's able to do what he can do at 90 is amazing.

Amp... You do realize how many people you just lost. Wink

I'm seeing Crown tube equipment. Razz

Haha, really! My kids have NO idea. But, when it's up and running, they say "OMG! I never heard all those other layers in the music."

Not tubes, unfortunately. Maybe in the future. Are you a tube guy?

I was until a couple of years ago.

Crown and Klipsch heritage floor standing three way corner speakers.
Michael Kiwanuka's new album Love & Hate. Album of the year so far for me. I see so many influences in this talented musician: Richie Havens, Bill Withers, Gary Clark, and even Randy Newman. This album seems to reach back to the past yet remains fresh and new. Retro sound with some fuzz. So solid. Very well produced also (Danger Mouse). Glad Looking forward to seeing him in NYC in Nov.

The first half - mostly the first 3 albums. Makes for good running tunes.

My favourite American band - never new this existed. Have all the albums but see that some singles not included on albums are on this. And no doubt the sound is much better than it is on vinyl. Hmmmm, Christmas is coming.

I think purists might have this to say about your vinyl statement:

But yeah, this box set is both comprehensive and very well mastered. I recall that my early Steely Dan CDs were almost unlistenable: thin and shrill.

Here's some info:

Also: I don't know why I always call it Citizen Dan, when the title is actually Citizen Steely Dan. Apparently I think Citizen Dan is a better title.
