Dave Edmunds - DE 7th

Good album, definitely a fan of DE

In our kitchen in 1969 a song comes on our not bad small radio, and it's blowing my mind. And it keeps going and going and going. And finally it ends...who is it, who is it? "That was the 'Sabre Dance' by Love Sculpture." Always liked him since.

I have quite a few of his albums. Like his cover of older tunes. Also like his Rockpile bandmate Nick Lowe.

There are only a couple of Edmunds/Lowe/Rockpile albums I don't have. Most of them are excellent. Hell I even have a couple of Carlene Carter's albums from her days as Mrs. Nick Lowe.

I really regret that I never saw any of them live. Frown

Happy to have seen Rockpile in 1980 at the Heat Wave festival outside Toronto. Love both Edmunds and Lowe. Also saw Lowe with Little Village on their one and only tour (Hiatt, Lowe, Cooder and Keltner).

Lowe's more recent solo albums are wonderful - especially The Convincer.

Van Morrison - It's Too Late To Stop Now

Great live album, captures Van Morrison at his best

I didn't know this was released. I thought it was in June.

That's Vol 2, 3 and 4. The original album was released in 1974. It will be remastered and rereleased in June (now called Vol 1) to coincide with the additional releases.

That's the one I regret not having seen. Mosport, right?

I forgot about Little Village. Also like that album. Did they play in Toronto?

Yes, Mosport. Backstage passes. It's a long story involving delinquent credit payments by the festival promoter. I'll tell you about it the next time you make it to T.O.

Also yes, Little Village played Massey Hall. Second row floors. sunshades

An all Chopin morning thus far.

Ah, Chopin! Every time I hear or read his name, I think back an evening in college when we made up lyrics to his Military Polonaise. I can still sing it!

Next off-line! Big Grin

I can still play it. I'll be glad to provide accompaniment!
