Springsteen - Live Chicago 011916
Sounds like it was a great show. I always liked the songs on The River, with the exception of the lame I'm a Rocker, but didn't like the production. I know Van Zandt and Landau were trying for that AM car radio sound, but it bugged me. The sound of this live show is better than the original album.
U2 - All That You Can't Leave Behind
It's ages since I listened to U2.

How do you like it? I've heard good things about it.
Coincidentally, I listened to Car Wheels on a Gravel Road last night.

Car Wheels is still my favourite, but the new album is her best in a very long time. It's a departure for her. Quiet, haunting, plaintive. Bill Frisell plays on it and his influence is really clear to me.
EDIT: I just read this review which pretty much nails it. http://www.rollingstone.com/mu...-highway-20-20160203

I saw her in person when I was in college. Loved it. She appeared with Dave van Ronk. Now there was a weird pairing!

Love Nina! The weirdest pairing I ever saw was a show in the late '60s, IIRC, that had, as the headline act, Procol Harum. The opening act was some obscure bloke called Elton John.

Sonny Stitt "Kaleidoscope." Stitt was one hell of a sax player in the late 40s and early 50s. "Constellation" is another great recording. Hard to find on CD, but available on vinyl.
The Mahavishnu Orchestra - The Inner Mounting Flame
1972 - Aragon Ballroom, Chicago, most mindblowing concert I ever saw. Only because my best friend went to see Jimi Hendrix without me.

And Kanye West thinks he's even relevant
